I confess, I’ve been slacking when it comes to skincare lately. And although I’ve upgraded from the low maintenance face wipe, my pampering usually consists of a quick wipe of micellar water, followed by a dollop of the same lotion I’ve been using since I was 12. However, after recently learning that your skin starts to reduce its collagen production in your twenties (I’m 26 – send help!) I thought I best get my act together and start investing in an adult skincare routine.
So where to start? There’s A LOT of choice out there, and it can be tricky to separate the magic from the marketing. So after chatting to some friends, and researching what to look out for, I recently treated myself to some products from Pixi Beauty’s Vitamin C range. And why Vitamin C I hear you ask? Well, Vitamin C boasts potent antioxidant power, and it is known to boost collagen production. RESULT!
The first product I picked up was the Vitamin C Juice Cleanser. At £18 it was a little more than I usually spend (okay, a lot!) however; I can safely say that it’s worth every penny. After using it for a week, my skin looks brighter, smoother, and there’s been a visible reduction in the dark circles under my eyes.
Next up is the Vitamin C Tonic priced at £25. I’ve been using this product after the cleanser – and I absolutely love it! I have really sensitive skin, and I had been put off by the harshness of toners, but this glowy formula is nothing but soft. It leaves my skin feeling firm and hydrated – plus, it smells amazing!
Darling, did you just say caviar? Oh yes I did! Hands down this is my favourite product, and it’s not just because it sounds super fancy.
I’ve been using this luxe treat as the final step in my new skincare routine, by massaging the mask onto my face and letting it melt into my skin overnight. I love that it combines both a gentle exfoliating texture, with a rich moisturising balm. Just a pea sized amount leaves my skin feeling beautifully hydrated and nourished.
It’s fair to say I have fallen head over heels for Pixi’s skintreats. And if you’re looking to upgrade your skincare, these products are well worth the skinvestment.
