You’ve probably heard of a juice detox, or even a digital detox, but have you heard of a wardrobe detox?! Well, until recently I hadn’t either, so I was thrilled when Grace from Sorted With Style got in touch to offer a full wardrobe cleanse!
I can’t tell you how many times I stand in front of my wardrobe complaining that I have nothing to wear, which of course, is one big FAT lie. I’m guilty of panic buying, and completely forgetting what I own.
And that’s where professional organiser and wardrobe detox specialist Grace steps in. She’ll work with you to delve into your wardrobe, and help you to decide what you want to keep and what you no longer need. She’ll also help to colour coordinate, donate unwanted items to charity, and is also good enough to give those shelves a dust off too!
Grace was friendly and professional, and listened to my wardrobe woes. She helped me to sort through my wardrobe staples, organise what could be packed away until next season, and reminded me of the value of owning a solid capsule wardrobe. And for those who don’t know, a capsule wardrobe is a limited collection of clothes that coordinate well and can be worn in a number of different ways to cater for multiple occasions.
My before wardrobe was messy, stuffed with woolly jumpers during the summer, and was basically a maze of half hung clothes and chaos! However, within a few hours, Grace left my wardrobe perfectly coordinated, neat and cleansed! She also shared some of her top tips such as using velvet hangers for space saving, and using a clipboard to create an even fold.
Not only is a wardrobe cleanse good for mental wellbeing *tidy place, tidy mind* – it’s far more sustainable by being able to see everything you own. It’s also great for optimising space and finding the perfect home for all your items.
It never occurred to me how invaluable a wardrobe cleanse could be. I am so passionate about my clothes, so it feels amazing to have a functioning wardrobe that clearly shows everything off.
If you’re fed up of battling with the wardrobe everyday, I’d definitely recommend getting in touch with Sorted with Style.
