Back to basics: Redefining my style

Running a fashion blog can often require you to be daring, bold and attention-grabbing. And in a bid to stand out on social media, sometimes the most garish outfits are deliberately chosen to lure in those new followers.

After six months of blogging, I’m keen to rewrite my own fashion rules (thank you InTheFrow!). I want to recreate my own style, and not get lost in the world of accepting every gifted or sponsored outfit that comes my way.

The prospect of redefining my style really excites me, and I hope you enjoy coming on this new journey with me.

This look was all about simplicity. An elegant satin skirt, paired with a neutral woolly jumper has to be one of favourites. I love the mix of textures, and simply tucking layers in or letting them hang loose can completely transform the look.

I love the idea of recycling outfits through mixing and matching. And I think a lot of you will have some plain white pumps or trainers to restyle in your wardrobes.

A chain bag that can be worn over the shoulder or as a clutch is also a great investment, and I’m currently searching for a similar design in black. Finished off with some sunnies and a simple gold chain, creates an effortless daytime look that be reworn time and time again.
