Minimalistic outfits have been at the top of my styling agenda this year. More mixing and matching and less one off splurges. This encouraged me to dust off one of the classic staples – denim jeans, and find ways to reincorporate them back into my everyday wardrobe.
Despite being one of the most versatile garments a person can own, I had completely gone off jeans these past few months. I can find them unflattering, boring and difficult to style. However, I forced myself out of my comfort zone and began experimenting with ways to feel good in those casual classics.
A white bodysuit, layered with a fitted black blazer seemed to be the perfect start. A tight top helped to accentuate my silhouette, which can often be overlooked in denim, whilst a fitted blazer complemented the tailored and undone elements all at once.
Quilted accessories are bang on trend right now, so an oversized quilted clutch with matching mules were the perfect additions.
I’ve also started to pay a lot more attention to detail, and just adding two contrasting gold chains provides a hint of understated glamour. And to keep up this effortless styling, I finished the look with two pearl hair slides.
